Heraldic Shield of Culcheth
The Heraldic shield of Culcheth which is the coat of arms of the four families of Culcheth. Moving clockwise, starting top left, the shield is quartered with the family arms of Radcliffe, Culcheth, Holcroft and Risley.

The latter three are the names of the families who held "manors" of the same names in what was once described as the "Ancient Township of Culcheth". Radcliffe is the name of the family that held the fourth manor of the Township, Peasfurlong (orginally spelled Pestfurlong).
